Multiple Monitors

Hi friends,

I have ESXi 6 set up with various VMs (of Windows and Linux variety) installed and I would like to use multiple (2 or 3) monitors when remotely connecting to them (I'm currently using the vSphere client). I have tried various configurations like auto-detect settings and specify custom settings but the VM on my host only displays on 1 monitor

Can anybody help me please?

I'm not sure this is possible in the vSphere Client.

What prevents you from using RDP to the servers (Assuming Windows Servers) and upon launching the RDP client selecting Show Options > Display > Use all my monitors ?

2 reasons

(1) Some are Linux machines

(2) Some of the machines don't have out network connectivity (host only for testing purposes)

Unfortunately I do not believe that this is possible. You might be able to use the remove console but I really don't think this would work https://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vmrc_pubs.html

Personally I would be looking at using VNC or similar for the linux VMs and putting the others on an isolated VLAN with RDP/VNC so that you can manage over the network securely.
