Multipathing on ESX

Hi...

I know ESX is having 3 mulipathing techniques available Fixed,MRU,Round robin...

I have doubt wrt Fixed & MRU.Can anyone explain at what situation we choose it's either Fixed or MRU....what maked the difference between the two with feasibility perspective.

Can you be more precise on "what situation we go for Fixed or MRU".....

Fixed is for Active-Active SAN

MRU is for Active-Passive SAN

MRU is prefered for active-passive storage.

Note the it mean active-passive on the same LUN... like for example AX, MD3000i, ...

Round robin is a way to do load balancing with active-active storage or (better) on storage with multiple active "channels" on the same controller, like for example Equallogic PS.
