Moving vSphere 5.0 server to new domain

I have a virtual vSphere 5.0 server I would like to move it to our new domain. Our new domain is trusting our old domain. The plan is to move every server and every client machine onto our new domain? The vSphere database is currently on our SQL server which is still in our old domain.

Is it as easy as going into System Properties, putting the server into a workgroup - reboot - then add it to the domain?

Thanks

with your sql server you should not get any problem as long as you point to the new FQDN (from sqlserver.olddomain.com to sqlserver.newdomain.com) in your vcenter server settings as that you use sql authentication, however the only issue that you might get here is the vcenter server, once you change the domain, you might have certificate problems and the inventory service might give you a hard time, I guess you might also get some errors while connecting to the vc from the client

What about permission on the objects?
