Moving guests to ESXi 4.1 host from a ESX 3.5.0 host

When moving a guest from a ESX 3.5.0 host to a ESXi 4.1.0 host do you need to do anything to guest?  Or just move its folder and associated files from the old data store to the new one?

The VMs are stored on local disk ? Anyway, take a look at this KB article for some considerations: VMware KB: Moving or copying a virtual machine within a VMware environment

I should of mentioned these two servers are not in a vCenter cluster but stand alone and the guests are on data stores that are local attached storage to each server. I will be coping the guest folders down to a USB drive then back up to the 4.1 location.  I am using 4.1 rather than something newer as I have several other guests that are on the 4.1 host and we need to keep them for historical reasons for another 1 & 1/2 years.  the current 3.5 host is failing which is why I am moving them.
