I have a virtual machine I need to move from one san to another. I believe that I'll need to power down the guest OS, download all files (see attached image), create a lun on the destination san, then upload the files to that lun. We're running vmware 5.5. Does this sound about right?
Your vSphere ESXi host is a standalone host or it is managed by vCenter ? If managed by vCenter, just do a Storage vMotion... if not, take a look at this KB article: VMware KB: Moving or copying a virtual machine within a VMware environment
