We have installed a single host VMware 7.0 (free) server on an IBM server. We now need to move the physical disks to a more powerful hardware (they're both System x3650 M4, source 7915KAG destination 7915E3G), I was wondering if that's something which can create troubles and what we can expect once we boot ESXi on the new host.
The current one has a MegaRAID SAS Thunderbold Controller with RAID configuration, the destination one has MegaRAID SAS Fusion Controller. Can this be a problem when starting up?
As for the network I should be able to assign the new network interfaces to the vSwitches once logged into the web console.
