Move a VM to another data store

hi

On our ESX 4 we have created resource pools and multiple Datastores on SAN.

To move a VM from in resource pools it's very easy, but howto move a VM from one Datastore to another?

If I understand your question correctly you need to migrate your VM to different datastore.

Right Click on a VM, select Migrate..., select Change Datastore, select desired datastore, select virtual disk format (thin/thick)...

Depending on your licensing you can use Storage vMotion to migrate hot. You can use the clone option in vCenter to clone a VM from one location to another. You can use the Standalone Converter to hot clone a VM from one location to another. You can always shut down the VM and use something like Veeam FastSCP to copy the files from one location to another.
