Hello, I am trying to mount a VMDK that has a GPT disk in Windows. The VMDK is actually a snapshot taken from my NetApp, and I'm trying to mount it so I can do file level recovery. I have tried the methods outline here https://communities.netapp.com/docs/DOC-4865 and also using the OSFMount tool but with both when I mount the disk Windows tells me I need to format the disk before I use it and prompts me to format. Trying a disk that uses MBR works fine using either of the previous method, so it seems be an issue with handling GPT disks. Does anyone have any other suggestion on how I can mount a VMDK that contains a GPT disk?
