Motherboard has SB600 chipset for sata but no PCI.id in install script

I'm a bit lost here since it looks like it was pretty easy to ad in a new pci id in esxi 4 but I don't see anything for 5.5.  I have an Asus motherboard, M3A32-MVP Deluxe, that has a couple of sata ports run by a sb600 chipset.  It looks like there is a sb600 pci id in the pci.id file but the id for my board is 1002:4380 isn't in the group.  In 4.0, which is all I seem to see on the net, it looks like all I had to do I add the new id into the simple.map file in the tmp/oem/etc/vmware directory and I could get the driver to install but 5.5 doesn't have one.  What am I missing??  It really looks like I just have to add the id in and the install should find my drives.
