Monitoring of the power consumption at application level in the virtual machine

Hi,

We are currently using ESXi 5.5 on hp proliant dl 380 g8 and ESXi 5.1 on IBM X3550.

We need to monitor the consumed power, cpu time and memory of each process running on the virtual machines.

I have been checking what possibilities were available, but I didn't find anything suitable to monitor the power.

Is there any available tool for this?

Thanks in advance.

I have never seen anything as granular as that, there is a power-monitor in vSphere but that is per virtual machine.

Hi,

I ask me the same question and I think that it's very important to know these informations for an application which runs in a cloud.

It's easy to know memory and disk used but how to define my application consumption? Is there a metric to define that without knowing the final hardware?
