We have a networking and device monitoring program that now supports "ESX". However, we would like to try it out and see if we can use it to monitor ESXi. We currently have vSphere Enterprise with ESXi and vCenter installed.
Is there a supported way to monitor the ESXi hosts and clients using SNMP? Should we point the SNMP monitor to each host, or just to the vCenter server? If this is possible, how would we set the community string, etc.
