Missing Tools in ESXi 5.1?

Hi

I have installed ESXi 5.1

details:

"VMkernel localhost.2020dev.local 5.1.0 #1 SMP Release build-799733 Aug  1 2012 20:03:00 x86_64 GNU/Linux"

And I am looking at commands such as "service", "netstat", or simply  "mgmt-vmware" but I cannot find either of them.

I remember back in version 4.X all those where installed in the box?

Apologies as I have been missing some literature in relation with changes?

Any idea?

Many thanks

if you want to restart agents, you can simply type at the CLI

~ # services.sh restart

These have either been removed or been changed.

mgmt-vmware is now services.sh (services.sh restart will restart the management services)

netstat is gone, you can find information now using the esxcli (esxcli network connection list)

Not sure what service does in 4.x so can't help you with that one (for now).

Thanks Guys

That was all I needed. As I wondered if stuff was missing from the server.

So many changes have happened.

Thanks again
