So my vcenter is running fine on my ESXi, but everytime I check on it in my ESXi I get the following error:
The configured guest OS (Other 3.x or later Linux (64-bit)) for this virtual machine does not match the guest that is currently running (VMware Photon OS (64-bit)). You should specify the correct guest OS to allow for guest-specific optimizations
Now, that is fine, since the specific OS has the wrong settings under Guest OS and Guest OS Version. When I installed it, Photon was not available. And it is still not available.
I try to remedy this by shutting down the vCenter session and edit the settings, but Photon OS is not on the list.
It is currently configured as Default Linux > Other Linux 3 or later, x64.
What impact has this and is it something I can do anything about and if so what? ESXi is running 7.0 Update 3.

I don't see the solution can someone re-post that!
As of now, the "solution" is to ignore the message. See https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/67671
