We are currently planning to migrate our ESX4/3.5 servers to ESXi4 and basically wanted to know if there is a recommended/suggest process for this?
We have two host's that are more of an issue then the rest as they have attached storage in the form of internal & external array's which store a lot of data.
Basically would we be able to do a clean install of ESX4i over ESX4 and then re-attach the previous arrays?
Main issue is that we currently have our BackupExec storage on one of the arrays (so restore from BE wouldn't be easy) and also it would take v.long time to migrate all the guest's to a different host and migrate back again.
Any help/suggestions/advice would be welcome.
