Migrate a vsphere 6 host from a vds to a different vds

Within the same vcenter, how to move an ESXi 6 host's networking from one virtual distributed switch to a different virtual distributed switch?

1. Host into MM
2. Free up one single NIC
3. Migrate all VMKs back to a vSS and one NIC
4. Leave the vDS
5. Join the other vDS
6. Migrate the VMKs

A single host can have multiple vDS if you have enough NICs for the uplinks.

The "Add and Manage Hosts..." wizard - which you can launch from the new vDS - lets you add the host, and reconfigure settings in a single step. Once done, you can remove the host from the old vDS.

Yes - I know this method. I was hoping that I could do the old-vds to new-vds live with no or little interruption to running VMs on the host. Of course, MM does not allow running VMs.

I should have included this "requirement" in my original post.

This worked perfectly - except for reassigning the VM network for the two VMs I was trying to migrate to new vds. 

Host probably has to be in MM which does not allow running VMs on the host. I was hoping to do this live. Not to be.
