I want to upgrade to 6.0 and migrate off of the Windows vCenter Server and deploy the appliance. My current vCenter running Windows has the vCenter database on the same windows vm as vCenter. Can I just deploy a new appliance and import the configs from 5.5? Should i upgrade to 6.0 then migrate to the appliance?
I am looking for the best method. I saw the article on fling but that does not work since the database resides on the same vm as the vcenter server.
