I have done quite a bit of reading on setting up NLB, but most of the articles are older. Are current environments are setup with two NICs, one for the host itself, and then one for the NLB cluster. In this age, is this required any longer if using multicast? I feel that if we could use a single NIC for all traffic we would not need the use of static routes in the Windows OS.
