Hi,
I am running into a Intel Server a VMware ESXi 5.0.0, 623860.
First Question - Max Display in one VM:
I am planning to move all the Windows XP VM to Windows 7 VM. I would like to set-up for Some Virtual Machines 6 Monitors (or 6 Displays).
What is the maximum number of display Can I set in one VM ? Actually, in the "Edit Settings" of Vmware Esxi I see only max 4 displays that could be set.
Second Question:
For Updating my ESXi Server from 5.0.0 to 5.5.0, I only have to download ESXi 5.5 Update 1 ISO image (Includes VMware Tools) ? and that's it?
many thanks for your support guys!
Hi Friend,
I am not 100% sure on first one query.
Second query: Yes, you are right. You need to have ISO only. However I suggest you to go for latest patch on 5.5 or latest patch on 5.5 U1 as both of these patches will have famous heartbleed security issue.
Thank you Vicky for your Answer on the Update.
If Anyone had experienced with settings 5-6 Displays in a Virtual Machine ? I will be
thanks,
Number of monitors depends on what remoting protocol you are using, with RDP for example I believe that 10 monitors is supported.
Looks like this thread is 6 months old and wondering what the number of displays of a client connecting to a ESXI / VM image is.
Here is my configuration:
[ESXI 5.5 --> Windows 7 VM]
Client [Windows 7] VMware 11
This client has 3 video cards and need to run a geophysical package with 6 monitors.
Thanks,
Chris
