Making Alarm triggers for Hardware Status

Hi...

We need to change some of the Alarms for monitoring hardware on a 4i-server.

In the Hardware Status for an ESX 4i server we got the following information:

Storage 1 Warning

Disk 1 on HPSA1 : Port : Normal

Disk 2 on HPSA1 : Port : Normal

HP Smart Array P410i Warning

Logical Volume 1 on HPS Normal

The default trigger for "Host storage status" looks like this:

Hardware Health Changed Alert Advanced

group equal to Storage

newState equal to red

This trigger clearly handles all the lines below Storage. A bit to rough in our case.

Q1: Is it documented somewhere that the "Storage" we see on the Hardware Status page is mapped to the attribute "Group" in the Trigger/Advanced setting of the Alarm-definition?

Q2: If I want to make the trigger depend on the line starting with "Disk 1 on HPSA1", how is that done?

I have tried some of the most obvious fields on the Trigger/Advanced setting with no luck.

Any pointers to doc that describes this is very welcome Smiley Happy

Attached a picture of how it looks in the hardware-tab.

The text does not give a good "view" at all....

Hello,

Does somebody already have a solution for this?
