Mac Boot Error

Hi everyone,

I have converted a Mac OS X 10.10 from VMware Workstation to VMware vSphere 5.1 U3.

But I can't boot it correctly. The error in Mac console appear :

Hi there,

Check the Virtual Hardware version of your VM, coming from Workstation 10 the Virtual Hardware might be 10 which isn't supported until ESXi 5.5 which could be the problem.

KB1003746 refers, if this is the case you can downgrade the Virtual Hardware using Converter, Workstation or Fusion.

Hi Hojjat,

To run OS X VMs on ESXi, your physical host must be Apple hardware (i.e. Mac Mini, Mac Pro, etc.).  Further, you need to first deploy 10.8, then upgrade to the desired OS X version (i.e. 10.10 or 10.11).
