Lost vm listing in vSphere client 5.0.0, 469512

Hello

Using ESXi5 for running several VMs in Dell box T100 having 2 internal physical HDDs called datastore1 and 2 .

Due unexpected errorneous power down, the ESXi5 stopped running and I rebooted. ESXi5 hypervisor looks running fine after

that reboot but I lost listing of all VMs in vSphere Client.

Datastore browing shows like attached picture.

Similar accidet happened when using ESXi3.5 but I completed forgot recovery process and make VMs

running.

Please advise how I fix this trouble !

Your quick fix will be to go into each VM folder,  right click on the virtual machine configuration file (the .vmx file), and select Add to Inventory.

Does the configuration of your system look like it completely reset?

Hi  it seem you lost the connection in between working directory where vmware installed.

you can add your existing vmx file .

Satya

Hi Dave

Your advice went straight for successful re-configuration of VMs which have been slept. Thank you so much. I am grateful.
