Lost root group permissions -> root group read only

Hi, maybe you guys can help me out with that.

We lost root group permissions, they are only read-only as you can see

This happened after adding read-only permission to group root in here:

Is there a way to recovery correct permissions? How do we do that?

Hi there!

Not a perfect solution, but the only way I could restore the access on my test lab was to use the Reset System Configuration from the ESXi direct console...

It's a fair bit quicker that re-installing but will unregister any VMs (assuming you have any) an the host, but it should get you back up and running!
