Lost packets

i have a issue whit a server esxi 5.5 and Vcenter

I have some servers that do not respond to me if I do not ping the vcenter first.

example:

In the morning I arrive and ping my vcenter and packets are lost but after a few seconds I started to respond

Or where I can see a log of this problem after it happens

any idea

How do you setup the physical network and virtual network (vSwitch/Distributed Switch, load balancing policy, etc) ?

The physical network is by swiches layer 3 brand HP gigabyte connection.
We have a UTM Fortinent with VLans
Each port of the swiche has associated a vlan.

The vmware host has the Vlan associated so that client computers can connect
