Hi, I'm building a vsphere LAB for testing 3d.
Hardware environment:
Server:
Dell R720 Server (2x8core xeon, 64gb memory).
Local Storage (4x146gb 15Krpm SAS drives).
Client:
Wyse ThinOS thin client
Software environment:
Hypervisor: VSphere esxi 5.5
Guest OS: Windows Server 2012R2
Test Application: Autodesk Autocad 2015
The thin client connects to the RDS server with RDP and RemoteFX, everything is working but refresh in not very good inside autocad or inside any 3d application. I'm wondering if adding a VGA card (like ATI Firepro V5800) and configuring pass-through of the device directly to the guest OS would make any difference.
Any experience or any suggestion? I can find just articles on configuring VDGA and sVGA on Horizon for Windows 7 but nothing about a terminal server on vsphere.......
