Hi All,
I have ESXi5.1 hosts and 5.1b VC. If my DC is down then I am not longer able to login to VC via VI Client.
I have installed SSO - Inventory Service and then VC.
What changes do I need to make so that even if my DC is down the Users who are registered in SSO can login to VC via VI Client or via Web Client.
Is there a document that I can follow.
Thanks
Vaibhav
If the users you want to logon with are AD users, you will not be able to use them while the AD is down/unreachable. Only users from accessible sources (i.e. local users on the machine where SSO is installed) will work.
Hi Marcelo,
I tested it in my lab environment and it behaves as you mentioned.
I want to verify one more thing here that if the SSO service is stopped or the SSO Server goes down then no AD account or the local SSO account will be able to connect/login to VC. is this correct?
Thanks
No, no user will be able to logon to the vCenter (not even local ones) if SSO goes down.
