Logical Drive 01 - Degraded (Interim Recovery)

Hi VMWare people.

I'm really new to VMWare and our  ESXI 6.0 is not booting up. As per ILO  Logical Drive 01 is Degraded (Interim Recovery)

The server is HP 380 Gen9 configured as RAID6

We're not able to fix the issue. Please help.

You should not need to do anything. Proliants by default come with automatic RAID recovery option enabled. So, when you replace a faulty drive with a new one in a redundant array setup , raid rebuild starts automatically.

ACU or the management agensts will tell you the mirror rebuild progress. Once mirror rebuild is completed, the status should change to OK and you should also get a message in the "system" event log indicating the same.

if you have hardware problem than open a case with vendor (HP)

Thanks for your reply.

Actually I've created a ticket to HP and one of their Engineer remotely connect to my pc and to the server's ILO and did some TS but, He's not able to resolve the issue. He told us that the HardDrive is Okay and the only problem is the VMWare not booting up. Even he tried upgrading it to VMWare 6.0Update3 but still not booting up. He also told me to consult this issue to VMWare.

Anyway, Please have a look at the ILO Storage Information below.

Have you received any error message when try to upgrade 6.0Update3 .

please share the screen shot to do further investigation to  resolve the problem .
