Locked out from ESXi ssh/web/shell

Hello everyone, I have a problem with an ESXi 6.7 server.
Apparently too many login attempts were made and I was locked out of the web interface.
I can login to the DCUI but not to the ESXi shell. Besides reinstalling,
is there another way to unlock it?

we were able to find the error:
the vCenterServer had a problem and kept trying to login after restarting the host.
In the DCUI we temporarily deactivated the lockdown mode and were then able to log in again.

@hen_len,

You should not have an issue if you wait the default 900 seconds, unless this happened unexpectedly and you do not know the source from where that is coming.

The only supported way to change the root password is by re-installing or by using Host Profiles.
