If I install a tape drive (SCSI) into a server running VMware vSphere Hypervisor, will the vitaul machines that are running under Hypervisor be able to use the drives directly or will I need to back up the servers over the network? VMs will be Windows Server 2003 & Windows Server 2008 r2 using Windows Backup to perform the backup. If they cann use the drive, can it be installed after the Hypervisor/VM installs or does it need to be installed prior to the installations?
