Loading ESXi onto a blade

Hi Guys,

I apologize for a very simple question, but could someone help to understand how to configure ESXi on a bare metal host for my school project.  I have ESXi ISO on a disk but the blade does not have an cd drive or a usb.  How do I get that image over?

Welcome to the Community - what you will need to do is utilize the out-of-band management tool that the server manufacturer provides - for HP it is the iLO and Dell is the DRAC - you connect to these through a web browser and it will allow you to mount the ISO image as a virtual cd to the blade

What kind of blade is it?  There should be some kind of management controller in the blade chassis that has to be connected to your network.  You can connect to that controller to gain IP/KVM access and the ability to mount the ISO file as a virtual CDRom.

Use ILO as others stated to mount the ISO as a virtual CDROM.
