Link goes randomly down on NICs when restarting network or rebooting VM

Hi we are running arround 115 linux servers on ESX4 datacenter, lately we started to experience random NICs link drop on guests when restarting network or rebooting VM Linux server.

When I restart network manualy (couple of restarts) link is detected again.

Thanks for any hints.

Have a look at vSwitch properties (where are connected the VMs). How many ports do you have?
