Licensing - ESXi-6.7.0-20220704001-standard-customized (VMware, Inc.)

Hi,

I have a home setup of VMware VSphere ESXi-6.7.0 that was setup via https://www.v-front.de/, the license is due to expire shortly but I find I cannot get a license key for version ESXI-6.7.0 through https://customerconnect.vmware.com/en/evalcenter?p=free-esxi7, would somebody point me in the right direction to source a trial license key for my version of ESXI please?

I don't think there is one any more, since 6.x is no longer supported it doesn't make sense for trial licenses to be distributed - you'll need to use 7.x or 8.x now.

I've reported your post to the moderators, asking them to move it to the ESXi area of the Communities.

I get the feeling your right, yes I will need to upgrade.

Quick and dirty fix is to delete the /etc/vmware/vmware.lic and /etc/vmware/license.lic files, this reset the license period back to 60days after a host reboot of course.
