License Server no longer needed

I no longer need a License Server for ESX 3.5

Should I do anything to remove this from vCenter?

Thanks!

It's not necessary, however I like to cleanup such thing, I would remove the setting in the vCenter Server licensing configuration and uninstall the old license server.

if you have VI3 hosts being managed by  vCenter 4.x you will still need a license server.  If you have no VI3 Hosts, then yes, you can retire the license server, as vSphere uses keys.

Check Administration--vCenter Server Settings--Licensing.

Thanks,

Sounds like good advice.  Smiley Happy

I would like to clean this up, especially since I am getting ready to move to 4.1
