Laptop for Vmware labs

Hi all,

I want to used vmware labs on laptop, Can any any suggest me,is it possible and what configuration laptop should have.

2 ESXI Host

3 VM machines, each host of ESXi,

Kindly suggest me the laptop and also desktop.

With

RAM :

Hardisk:

Processor:

Brand:

Please.I wan to purchase and do some practical on it.

Hi ,

Yes it is possible to set-up VMware lab on a laptop, use workstation and it should do the trick.

recommendations would be

RAM : 4G and above

Hardisk: 1 TB

Processor: 3.6 Gzh and above AMD or Intel.

Hi,

It is hard to say exact brand because you might prefer one over another.

You should stick with CPU which allows you to run nested ESXi, for example ARK | Intel® Core™ i5-4350U Processor (3M Cache, up to 2.90 GHz)

Memory - as much as you can afford.

Hdd - Think about SSD they are cheaper and cheaper. You can run nexenta on laptop with deduplication and squize much more VM's than in traditional way.

Hi Avinash,

But I want to use Laptop only for labs, Like VMware Workstation 10  on Laptop and then I can create Two ESXI host into VMWare Workstation 10,and all VM machines in ESXI
