I was wanting a add this drive as external NAS storage to my home ESX system does anyone know if this is pos or know of a hack to do so?

Hi Muos,

As long as your NAS is able to be shared through NFS, it should be possible to use it for a datastore. I don't know if there is a specific document for your storage but you can find how to achieve such a configuration with devices from other manufacturers. Have a look at the following examples:
