LSI and ESXi 6.5

Looking for a solution to have my ESXi host report failed drives to me.

I have tried the Avago MSM. I cant get it to send out Emails. I do not know of a service that it works with.

Also this app apparently has to stay open to work.

Is there a way to have ESXi directly report failed drives? I have loaded the Latest Raid Driver, and SMIS Providers.

The Drives are not showing under my sensors.

It's possible when you have vCenter and ESXi can do it when you have installed ESXi via hardware vendor image.

But you have to deploy third-party solution to read events via SNMP and report you.

Hi,

Did you reboot after installing the SMIS providers?

You'll have to adapt the steps for your requirements and hardware, but the global installation should be the same.
