LAN on a ESXi5 host...?

I'm trying to create a internal LAN on a host..

Having issues with networking.

Specs.

Host  ESXi 5

VMs  Windows 8

        SQL 2012

        Windows 2008 R2

        Windows 7 (vCenter)

Going to make the the Windows 8 box the AD, just can't get the networking right....going to have a vDistributed Switch on the Win 7 box...(vCenter)  and of course vSphere Client is my Windows 7 laptop.

Anyone think this is doable? :smileyinfo:

You could create a vSwitch with no network adapters assigned to it on your ESXi host, and then assign all of these VMs to that connection. That isolates everything internally. You could then use the vSphere Client console to gain access to the VMs.

Thanks, after setting up the subnet for the internal, they can connect to each other right?

Yes, as long as you provide an IP address and mask the VMs on the internal switch will be able to talk to each other.
