Keyboard not working trying to install new vm

Hello,

I currently have a Windows 10 VM and everything works great.  I'm now trying to create a new VM running Windows Server 2019 but when the install comes up asking to select a language, my keyboard and mouse don't work.

I'm running VMware ESXi 6.5 U2 and am doing the install through the esxi web interface.  Since esxi 6.5 doesn't support Windows 2019 as a vm I had to select Windows Server 2016 but lots of people seem to have this working fine.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

The console gave me keyboard access so I was able to get the OS installed, and after installing VMware tools I now have keyboard and mouse control.

Thanks,

Mark
