Is there any benefit to install PowerPath for vSphere Hosts ?

We are running vSphere 4.1 hosts with EMC CX Storage Array.

As far as we know, vSphere 4.1 Host comes along with its own multi-pathing software, is there any potential gain for us to install PowerPath for vSphere Hosts ?

Besides, does PowerPath Power distributed via Update Manager ?

If PowerPath is installed, is it necessary for us to remove / disable vSphere built-in Multi-pathing software ?

Your advice is sought.

EMC told me once that one benefit is that you have an end-to-end view in the management console. He referred to Control Center, I do not know if Navisphere can also benfit from these functions.

Thanks for your advice.

Do you have any idea what the management console means ? Is it vSphere Client or Navisphere Manager (or Unisphere in the near future) ?

Thanks again

As I wrote, he was referring to EMC Control Center and I don't know if Navisphere benefits from Power Path. The Clariions can be integrated into Control center. I would call your technical contact at EMC and ask him for what Power Path will bring you and how it is integrated with Navisphere.
