Is it supposed to work like this? ESXi 6.7

Evaluating this product on refurbed dual 2670v1 box..

Install one test VM, ubuntu, fine.

Install another, get this error msg : "The VM configuration was rejected. Please see browser Console"

- Ok that was fast. (no the folder is not present).

Try to manually create a folder on datastore. Nothing happens.

Now I try and power off the first VM, hard "Power off" ... nothing. Reset ... nothing. Log on to VM manually and shutdown Ubuntu manually that works.

First experience running this product do not inspire confidence!

What browser are you using? And OS? What ISO file did you use to install this host?

Chrome 69

Windows 10 1809

VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.7.0-8169922.x86_64.iso

Could the browser be a play? Btw, when I say logging into the guest manually I mean through the browser interface, not rdp or a remote shell, so that far the browser works.

Thanks for your time.

Seems something related to the browser.

Do you know if there is any plugin installed in your browser?

Do you tried with Firefox just to isolate the browser issue?

If you are using the host client, can you upgrade it to the latest version and give it a shot again? - ESXi Embedded Host Client

I did not have the imagination to think it was a browser issue... I just tried Edge and it works, just created a new VM.

Thanks Smiley Happy.

Nope, too soon .. while getting further, it just marks the machine as "Invalid" .. Ill try the other options

My bad.

It seems the reason it showed up as invalid was that it was in the process of allocating (thick) disk space for 3TB .. and that takes a while. Going into folders, the new folder does not show up yet... but its there behind the curtains, so if you try and create it manually it fails silently. Id say that the interface is not without usability issues but I am getting to know the kinks.

Thanks and sorry for the noise.
