Is it safe to delete esxconsole.vmdk

Hi,

I recently upgraded our little vSphere cluster from version 4.0 to 5.

If my understanding is correct, the esxconsole.vmdk along with the other content of it's folder is no longer needed a can be deleted?

TIA,

Georgi

esxconsole.vmdk is a service console partition. Since you have already migrate to ESXi platform it is safe to delete esxconsole.vmdk and other file under esxconsole-system-uuid directory

yes, you can delete it. No use of esxconsole.vmdk after upgrade coz rollback is not supported in 5.
