We're having some issues with an ESXi 5.0 host that seems to have severe latency with local disk contention. We had a few servers and a lot of VDI Windows 7 on local disk, and they were working ok. But after we patched the ESXi system during the early October patch cycle, the problem got really bad. Is there anyway to roll back 5.0 patches, like what happens when you roll back Microsoft updates?
Hello,
You should be able to roll back one level on ESXi
VMware KB: ESX/ESXi Express Patch or debug driver rollback instructions
and to remove the bullet ID , the below KB should be helpful
VMware KB: Removing VEM400-200906002-BG from an ESXi host
VMware vSphere 4 - ESX and vCenter Server
Thanks,

How about ESXi 5.5 ?
The method is same even for 5.5 and 6.0 . It can roll back to the "immediate previous version" . Only one level of roll back.
The steps to verify the rollback has changed ( from 5.0 onwards) . It is not "esxupdate" command but use "esxcli software vib list command"
