Is i7 6700K recognized by ESXi 6 U2?

I would like to know whether the i7 6700K is supported in ESXi 6.0 U2 (on a motherboard with a Z170 chipset). Some people say it's not supported. Others tell me it's likely supported. But I'd rather hear a more definitve answer, from someone who actually knows, first hand.

The i7 6700K isn't officially on the HCL, of course. So I understand it's not officially supported. Just like to know whether the CPU is recognized, and works with ESXi 6 U2.

Thanks

Hi

There is some threats in the Internet that says yes, other no. Never tested, but it could be but not supported. If you check HCL list, is not listed.

Some tests that others did with this CPU and chipset
