Is Hyperthreading used in esxi 5?

This may be a dumb question but I've installed esxi 5 on an older Celeron e3400 dual core with hypertheading however in the vSphere Client it shows Hyperthreading 'N/A', shouldnt it show Yes or avilable?

esxi 5.0.0, 469512

client 5.5.5 455964

I've enabled hyperthreading and virtualization in the bios so I'm not sure what else to try unless this feature isnt supported in esxi

Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Yes, hyperthreading is supported in ESXi 5. Are you sure that the Celeron E3400 supports it?

Good Luck!

Wow, you're right! For some reason I thought that this processor supported hyperthreadering. Must have been thinking about a different CPU.:smileyconfused:

Sorry for the dumb post.

Thanks vmroyale
