Hi all,
I have several dozens of VMs running on ESXi 5.5 and ESX 5.0 (OVH hosting).
Most of them are CentOS6, but with the CentOSPlus repository active and its kernel installed.
I would like to install the vmware tools with yum, through The VMware repositories.
I installed "vmware-tools-esx-nox" on all the VMs, but the "kmod" package is strict on the kernel version.
The CentOSPlus repository kernel makes the "kmod" packages not instalable.
What do I loose if I only install the userland tools and not the kernel land ones?
