Installing a network drive on the DL380 G7

Hello All,

Apologies in advance if this might seem a very basic question as my knowledge of VMWare\VSphere 4.1 is limited.

I had alook at the following article which explains how to install a driver on our new physical host.

http://www.wooditwork.com/2010/11/15/updating-broadcom-bnx2x-nic-drivers-with-powercli/

1. I downloaded and installed the Vsphere 4.1 power CLI tools on my local PC

2. The driver is in a local folder on my PC in C:\citrix\Intel\t-igb-400.3.1.17-1vmw.2.17.249663.x86_64.vib

My question is from the CLI command line what command do I need to use to connect to the Vcentre ?

What power CLI command do I use to install the driver ? from what I understand I uset the Install-VMHostPatch but I cant seem to workout the exact syntax to do this ?

Many thanks for your assistance

Hi,

Confirm which is the ESX/ESXi version you are using ?b'cos power CLI works on ESXi 5.0
