Installing Virtual Center.

Hi All,

I have a few questions to ask our experts here , so that i can have a clear information on the installation.

Firstly let me explain what i have done till now ,

I have installed ESXi free version and ESX 4.0 Enterprise edition (Eval

) on VMware workstation 6.5.3 and the host OS being WIndows Vista Home

Basic Edition.

I know that virtual center server wouldnt install on windows vista (

host os ) , now will it be ok if i create a windows server vm and then

install virtual center in that vm , and is there any chance that we can

configure all the three the esx vm , virtual center and the virtual

client all of them together , using this configuration.

Please reply.

Vista is not supported for vCenter Server 4.0.

See http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vsphere4/r40/vsp_compatibility_matrix.pdf

Maybe it works, but I suggest to use another VM.

Right... I suggest to use a Windows 2003 with 32 bit version.
