Installing VDP, can't get passed initial configuration screen.

I've configured all the DNS and tested resolution, all names and IPs resolve. Added entries to resolv.conf and I still get the same error. Anyone know a fix for this?

Looks to me the issue is with the hostname. Just put in vdp instead of vdp.steelnework.com. In the domain field put in your domain. You can check out this video VMware vSphere 5.1 Data Protection - Install and Configure - YouTube

Rommel...your correct, it was actually a DNS issue which I got passed. Now it's trying to do the certification verify and I had put a different HTTP: port and it's wanting me to login as root to the appliance and modify a file. I have no idea what the root password is. Do you know if there's a default?
