Installing RH 7 using the GUI installer, in the manual partitioning screen cannot see the whole screen

I've run into an issue that has a workaround, but I wonder if there is a good solution.

When installing RH7, on a 5.5.0 VM, during the manual partitioning GUI installer screen you cannot see the entire screen and cannot proceed. You cannot see the buttons you need to select.  On a windows VM, you have scrollbars on the VMware console. In this instance there are no scrollbars, so you are DOA.

How do you force scrollbars to show up during this screen, or otherwise proceed?

I know I can use text mode installs; but I really think this is something that VMware would want to solve.

Have you tried the following? :

".. I've edited the kernel boot options to change the framebuffer resolution using "vga=773". Note that the partitioning window is not offset and that all of the elements are accessible."
