Installing ESXi 5.1 - PSOD LINT1 motherboard interrupt

Hello,

I get this error when I try to install VMWare ESXi 5.1 on my server.

I looked on this forum and found someone who had the problem after upgrading to 5.1 from 5.0 but it's not installed yet on my machine

IBM

X3600 M4 7383

It's on the list of supported hardware.

I tried deactivating the enhanced halt state in the BIOS as suggested for something I found about a DELL server, but to no avail.

When I boot on the CD, I also get an error in the server log

"Fault in slot All PCI Error on system System x3500 M4.",[S.2018001] An uncorrected PCIe error has occurred on Bus 0000 Device 11 Function 00. The Vendor ID for the device is 8086 and the Device ID is 1D3E.

Any idea what might be the problem?

Thanks

Richard

Hello and welcome to the communities.

Are the latest supported IBM BIOS and firmware updates applied on the x3500?

I found there is a UEFI update (I'm running 1.10 and there is 1.20 available.) I'll update it and try again.

In the process of doing that right now

Thanks
