Installing ESX Server on trunked ports

Hello,

I'm going to be installing ESX Server on some blades in an enclosure of ours, each blade has 2 trunked ports assigned to it. It's been a while since i installed ESX Server, but i need to be able to configure the nics for trunked ports from the start, than specificy my management vlan for the IP address of the server. How do i do this in the install, once i get that part going i'll be fine.

thanks,

Zack

Hello and welcome to the forums.

When you install ESX in graphical mode, you can specify the VLAN when choosing the NIC.  If you don't get it right, you can use kb 1000258 to manually configure it afterwards.

Good Luck!
